i was wondering if anybody can tell me hints on how to tell ur car aprt from an hf to a dx other than one being a 4 port already

 

hf's have really long gear ratio's, smaller intake then normal, the tac starts redline around 5000rpm. The interiors are usually blue on them. They are lighter then other crx's.

 

dont hfs have the smaller hubs too.

 

yes they do, hah. I was trying to point out obvious things but if it came down to it the hub size is smaller then a dx/si.

 

hf's dont have a rear wiper and dx's do. idk if that helps you any.. lol

 

its that i picked up a 89 crx for 250 with no motor dur to small fire and i needed to buy a new engine harness thats why

 

the good thing about the hf is that its already mpfi

 

well mine is hf i guess its white no sun roof no rear wiper blue interior ill probally do a build thread so you guys can check it out

 

Only crx/civics that came with sun roofs were si's. Unless some one swaped one on aftermarket style. But then the 91 ex 4 door came with a sunroof to.

 

89 HF doesn't have seat belts in the doors

89 HF VIN should be something like JHMED836#KS######

dam i thought 89 and on had seat belts on the doors i know mine does and only 88 had them on the chassis

 

90-91 has seatbelts on the door, 88-89 have them on the B pillar bar. My 89 CRX HF has them on the B pillar bar and my 91 has them on the door (hate them on the door) lol.

88 CRX DX, Si and HF all had seat belts on the B-pillar
89 CRX DX and Si had seat belts on the door
89 CRX HF had seat belts on the B-pillar
90-91 CRX DX, Si and HF all had seat belts on the doors

unless the car is Canadian, where the seat belts are all on the B-pillar

 

the crx im building is an 89 si and the seat belts are on the door? whats up with that?

 

when i took off my carpet on my 89 hf next to the ecu it has HF stamped ill try to post a pic

 

i spoke to the original owner he said it was an hf but my seat belts are on the door can doors be swapped out or no

 

some 88 crx dx came with sunroofs as well...

 

check the inside of your door under the panel and see if you have a door support...if not its an hf

 

check under your kick panel to the right of your ecu, HF should be etched into the floor board if it truly is an HF
