I am almost done with my build and now ready to get drivetrain finished. I have a $150 off certificate for Spec which is why I am choosing them. I am shooting for around 650hp for track use and while on street around 4-450hp on pump. Which clutch should I get for that power? I was thinking Stage 5. Right now I do not have enough money for a twin. Its out of my budget.
my friend with his 200hp teg stood by them to intil the pressure plate blew a hole in the side of his trans. Action would be the only brand i would run in that high of a hp setup.

Well I used to run CC, but I am trying to save by using this certificate. The car is not ready yet, but the engine is a 84mm b16, if you can get an idea of the torque there.
i have the spec stage2 + i'm getting second thoughts now...? but Mfactory said they support them 100% so who knows

A lot of it has to do with choosing the correct clutch for your application (it's not just a simple matter of Stage 1 vs Stage 5. They have a plethora of options, as most of the clutches are custom built to your specification), as well as installation.
Although it is relatively simple to install a clutch, so many people still do it wrong which just increases the chance of failure.
SPEC also offer a 6 month warranty on their clutches against any defects.

A stage 5 would be the choice if you are limiting yourself to a single disc. I personally used one in my car back when I was making 600whp. I used it for two full seasons and drove it on the street every now and then and it is still good. The twin would be a better choice though. It is rebuildable and the parts are not that expensive, it is just the initial purchase you have to get over. As far as how good our product is on Honda's goes, we have alot of success with our Honda clutches. I am the Honda guy here, and I would not have it any other way. I spend alot of my time making sure we are sending out a good product. If it wasn't good, I would not have it plastered all over the side of the car. Besides, as MFactory mentioned, we stand behind our product and take care of you when an issue arises.
i had the stage5 in a built h22 and it felt great on the street and the track that was about 550hp 340tq but went back to the dyno and up the boost and the 1 rivet broke of the plate and that was about 400tq but all in all you could not tell it was a stage5 clutch when you drove it.
I have had three SPEC clutches in my car and put several in my customer's cars. All with great success and excellent customer service. Plus they are only a couple of hours away so i can get parts ASAP. I will stick with SPEC
