Just pull out the dash carpet and interior panels like 2 hours of work at the most. then just pull out the whole harness. I'm still not sure what your trying to do but just take out the whole harness and swap it over. easyiest way.

Why cant you remove the dash? its simple I can do it blindfolded in 30 minutes and thats the truth. Drop steering colum, remove the center consol, take out side bolts, remove the cluster hood and cluster, take out the center cover in the top of dash remove the bolt, remove the bottom bolts, remove the ground bolt, check everything, pull glove box out and it should pop out. I might have forgot a bolt but you will notice when you try to pull it out if its stuck some where there is a bolt. The side ones are hidden under the vents to the doors. Hope this helps.

Well if you dont need the parts break them off. Seriously get on it. If your car is getting towed tomorrow then get on it. Get off the computer. Seriously its not hard. If I lived closer I'd come do it for a 12 pack. Really just set your mind to it. It all comes easy once you start it. Just remember to take your time and take some breathers when you get fed up. Call a buddy over or your girlfriend and have them help I'm sure a friend would do it for a few beers or taco bell dinner.

so look in the imageshack thing and see if you see where the wires connect from the engine harness to the underdash harness.... I checked out my 91 last night and the underdash harness and lights all work and **** its all there but the engine harness n ecu are for a b18. so heres my question.... am i gonna have to do any wiring to make this work or would it just be plug n play? because it looks like a few engine harness wires are connected to the rest of it....one is an 89 SI and one is a 91 SI so it shouldnt be too big a problem.

The engine harness has to come out of the car it was in. In your case, it's a 89 si going into a 91 si so it will plug in. The b18 will plug right into your stock Si harness (assuming it's the stock Si harness) and wont have to do ANYTHING unless the car was converted to obd1 which should be able to unplug.

I got everything off of the car the harness can come out now , but See heres my issue , like I said the engine harness and underdash harness are connected by a few wires in my 89..... IS that right? because I thought they were seperate....

Unless they ran wires from the ECU directly to whatever it was going to, which would only mean they ran new wires possibly due to a short of some kind.

Id help but Im in Ohio lol. Follow the wires and see what they go to and just make a note with masking tape telling which sensor it goes to so you can rewire it after you move the harness over.
