Default Any Straight axle guys driving on the steet?

im wondering if any of you straight axle guys are driving the car on the street at all? how does it hold up. i was thinking about getting the kens kustom rear axle setup but my car will be driven to and from the track so i would like some good feedback on it.

i'm guessing by sraight axle, the back wheels are locked as one? what is the reason for doing this?

The kits that are made are bolt in units that shed a good amount of weight. And yes it's a solid rear as opposed to independant like the cars are from the factory.

they still roll independently from each other. the only down fall i see is that you are rolling on 3.5-4" wide rear tires, and light weight rims not designed to see pot holes or other road hazards. hadling will be very different from a normal car. all in all I feel its a bad idea
