Default D series Transmission leak

Ok ill make this short with a quick question...transmission is leaking. How many seals do i have to check out or change out to make sure i can fix this issue, or does any one know what this issue would be. Maybe its a common issue some people have had? Thanks in advance for your time and effort its greatly appriciated!

Gee, it would probably help if you told us where it was leaking before we explain how to fix it . . .

Axle seals, mainshaft seal, shift shaft seal, case seams, drain & filler plugs, switch/sensor holes, etc . . .

yea sorry about that. I have fluid coming out of two places that it seams to be busted...one is the driver side axle seal and the second place it seams like its coing out of the clutch housing.

Are you getting any odd noises, such as a howling or chattering noise when you're sitting still in neutral with the clutch pedal out?

yea i was getting chattering ...and i replaced the release bearing and i was still getting it for a while but around the same time when that chattering from the release bearing stopped thats around the time i got the leak. Also now i get a chattering (sounds like bad bearings or bad brake hardware) but i think its coming from the trany from it being low on fluid now since the seal is leaking

Yeah, that noise wasn't the release bearing; it was the inboard mainshaft bearing a.k.a. input shaft bearing - which has now disintegrated. The reason the trans is leaking is because the mainshaft seal is directly behind the inboard bearing, which supports the mainshaft. Once the bearing disintegrated, the mainshaft developed play which in turn wiped out the seal. It's very likely that the shaft is now scored, and the case may be damaged as well.

Basically, your transmission is done. You might be able to salvage it if you're lucky, but I'd start looking for a good complete used trans quickly if I were you.
