ok, so i just got a EF yesterday.... i was test driving it around the block and i noticed that it is REALLY hard to brake the car to a stop. i dont hear any "metal-to-metal" sqeaking from the rotors so it couldn't be the pads... im just wondering what the problem is... i even tried stomping on the brakes at 40 km/h and it took a long time to stop. kinda dangerous.. need pointers please
oh ya, and i also have a second question..
i let a friend test out the car too, and i noticed white smoke from the exhaust... and quite alot of liquid coming out of a little hole in the exhaust... it seems like water, but smells really bad. burning oil perhaps? whats with the liquid though??
argh, i've got to get this thing fixed for that stupid drive clean program here...

the brakes most likely need to be bleeded, you might have air in the lines that nee to come out.
as for the smoke you might be burning oil and need to find out where and the water might be from condensation in the tail pipe itself and I would not be to concerned about that right now, get the brakes fixed ASAP

If it is truly white smoke then you may have a serious problem. White smoke is usually associated with a blown head gasket. If it is more of a bluish smoke then that would be oil and would probably either be blow by (piston rings) or valve seals.
