Default Hondata into a CX

I am planning on dropping my b16 into my 96 CX Hatch. I have an s300 out of my CRX that I would like to install before I do the swap. Just so I have one less thing to worry about that weekend. I was wondering if a stock p28 map would work or would that throw a check engine light for no v-tec solenoid? Is there a better map that anyone has? PLEASE HELP!!!!

OK, so you are dropping a B16 in your CX... There should be no VTEC CELs because you are going to run the VTEC wiring to the ECU right?

I meant when I run the stock engine for a few weeks on the s300. It has no V-tec and it looks like I only have a stock p28 map to work with, which has V-tec.

You will get a CEL in that case. Actually you will get two (at least), codes 21 VTEC spool solenoid valve and 22 VTEC pressure valve. You don't still have the stock ECU you could run?

It takes like 2 minutes to swap ECUs. 3 plugs, 4 bolts, 3 plugs, 4 bolts.
