Once you swap that K, you will forget all about that b series. I in the process of doing a K24a2 swap in my R. I'm hanging on my original B18c5 incase i want to sell the car...

go with k20a if you have the money....(TYPE R 220hp)

or go with k20z1 or k20z3....both make 200hp

trany go with the new Si tranny (z3) or type r pretty much the same...

be prepared to spend atleast 6-9k

Just dont buy a k20a3, those are really slow.

K20a2 from the rsx type s is a good motor and can be had from 2-4k local. Changing the cams would improve the power.

K20a type r is from the new type r. i've seen a full swap for 6-7k from hmotor.

most swaps come with 6-speed k-series trans.

Either way I would definitely hang onto the original engine if you ever plan on selling the car. This is assuming it has the original engine in it at the time. Numbers matching cars will become much harder to find in the future.

The k20a2 is the new GSR motor, so it's good. Some cams, I/H/E, and a tune. It'll feel nice.

k20z1 is a type s....and it is great

the reason i say go z1 or z3 is cause those are newer motors and have low miles..

if i was you i would just supercharge your car and put down 260 whp and spend only 4500...

I know the K makes awesome power and torque with just a few bolt -ons and tuning but I's never do it to my R. Maybe in another chassis, I'd give that some thought.

I love K series but if I had a clean title unmolested R the B series is staying in there forever. If the car was salvage and I had to rebuild it. K series would be the first modification.

K is the way!. If you cant afford a K20a(R) get a K24a2 from an RSX, they are like 2.4L type S motors. Try to get a 06+ and you'll be a happy camper!

i wouldnt do it, the money vs. hp between the two is a bad ratio. plus with the b you already have ac/ps.
