hey guys
i got a 95 accord with a jdm 96 h22 swap

i was driving along and thne stop at and light and after that
as i went to accelerate the car started making a really load and weird fartting noise

it wasnt picking up power at all
my friends say it could be the fuel regulator or spark plugs??

can anyone help me out here?
is it the regulator or spark plugs? or is it a more serious problem???

 

But it happened all of a sudden? Does it happen across all rpms, low rpms? when it idles?

 

well if i push the pedal slowly it doesnt make any noise and seems fine
but as soon as i put it even half way down it starts making the stupid farting noise
and it happens across all rpms, all gears, but sometimes as i get to 3 orr 4 it will stop depending on how mcuh i gas im giving it...

im confused to ****

 

Does it affect the performance or is it noise only?
When was the last time you changed plugs, wires, distributor and cap?

 

i just bought the car, the distributor is new
plugs and wires i got no clue. but i dont believe it was recently
and i think it is affecting the performance because as soon as i push the pedal to even a little to gain any speed it makes that weird farting noise

 

Ok, take a look at this link, also... consider cleaning you EGR, if the problem continues, we'll figure it out, but read the link and do these steps.

wait the car idles fine thoo
its only when i start accelerating
i left the car idling for a good 20 mins and it was working fine
but as soon as i put it into first and acclerated you could hear it, and its making the exhaust rattle liek mad

but idling is perfectly fine

 

That was just my 2 cents, but cleaning those items as maintainance will surely only help the engine.
