any special trick to pulling the wire harness?
just like the title says , I am swapping everything from my rust bucket to a yellow 91 si shell with no rust , I need to get the wiring harness and the whole center console and shift linkage out , I assumed the wire harness just came through the firewall after disconnecting the ecu but it seems to be stuck , do I need to pull the grommit out? also Ive never changed the shift linkage , how would I go about getting that out?
Thanks for all your help guys , this is by far my favorite honda site so far.

disconnect the harness from the ecu and pull that through the firewall 1 connector at a time. shift linkage is all just finding the nuts and bolts holding it together except for where that gold peice is connected right next to the transmission it will have a push pin in it. take a hammer and something that will be able to go through. bash it out. might be a pain in the ***
If you are pulling the entire underdash and the engine harness, just disconnect the 3 connectors in the engine bay, round one, rectangle one and the other one. You harness is now in 2 pieces. Remove the dash to remove the underdash and you are set. Don't try and pull the ECU plugs through the firewall, it's a pain in the *** with the grommet and having to worry if you break the good harness you have.
