Icon3 RUNNING HOTT ISSUE!?!?!

Well here is my issue, I have b 16 on boost in my EF 4DR and I cant keep it cool.. After Driving and goin into boost (6 psi)
Maybe around 10 Min., it starts to run hot but as soon as I come to a stop it runs perfect (normal temp). Also I took the thermostat out thinkin that mite be the problem..it ran hot quicker…someone please tell me this is not a HG

It's more than likely heat soaking issue. I had to wrap my mani, downpipe and dumptube because it was keeping so much heat under the hood, I'd let the car sit for an hour, open the hood, would be ridiculously hot still.

You may want to try spacing the backside of the hood to see if some of the air can escape that way.

Have you bled the coolant? Whats the radiator/fan combo you are running?

Lots of questions to be asked here, such as if you have been tuned or not. Upgraded fuel system, did you take out some timing, I mean maybe try throwing in a aftermarket rad. I know my turbo setup on my EF b16 was fine just cruising but if I got into boost and held it, it would heat up then I added a new rad and slim fan and was fine.

Last year I had a junk fan so my car heated up to a point on the highway where I would have to turn on the heat in my car to keep the car cool. I finally found out the fan I had didn't flow for ****.

I also heat wrapped my stuff this year just to be on the safe side, and it makes a world of difference for underhood temps.
