Go to AFI. They have them in stock and are great quality pieces. You won't be sorry.

Mild steel for an intake manifold?

Have you thought about that at all?

right because you can't make runners from MS. we all know that mild steel sheet metal can't be fabricated into a cylinder shape.

yes i have thought about it, the finished product will be aluminum, but i'm not about to drop $200 on one flange with this being the first one i've ever attempted.

While $200.00 + can be expensive for a flange...remember it includes injector bungs machined in, and stands/mounts for fuel rail. Those can easily be 2 of the more time consuming things to get right when fabricating an intake manifold.

Either way good luck with your project

Send Brad Campbell a PM, he can help you out with flanges and he's great to deal with.

yep, those fuel rail stands can be quite a PITA! Not a bad deal for what your getting, its just hard to justify buying a $200 flange because that has to be added into the cost of the manifold, and making the finished product too much for most to afford. I almost always end up spending a bunch of time and effort to use a stock flange and make my own stands so that I can keep my price down (meaning I am eating my labor, and not making much money)
