Hey when im driving and i put it in nutural and im about to stop my car stats to like shake a little bit (like when you are in gear and slowing down a lot and stuff starts to shake) but my car shuts off. anyone know what the problem is?

do you get a CEL?

 

its probably a sensor or if the rpm stick is moving or shaking its the vacuum

 

its you iac valve! (idle air control valve) this thing controls the amount of air entering the engine during idle via the pcm......they are known to fail on honda's causing the engine to stall when coming to a stop. replace it and you'll be fine!

 

try a vaccum line

 

sounds like it loosing vaccum when you hit the brakes

 

what kind of fuel pump?i know there is some freedy parts out there that don't sit to low on the tank.does it hapen even with a full tank of gas?

 

No man i just went and put gas into my tank and its not doing it that bad anymore..

 

bump.. im having the same problem..Here's the catch i have a new distributer, new IAC valve and my battery is good..the thing that bugs me is that it does this when im like at 1/4 tank..i can feel it shake so i tap the gas and it stays on, but if i dont tap the gas it turns off..it starts right up when i turn the key..Dahm Hondas! lol

 

bump for this too. dude mines has been doing that every since i had to use my old distributor because my aftermarket one crapped out on me. so i when i put it back on ill be driving and when i stop it fells like its gonna die and if i rev a little bit it stops. or sometimes the car shuts off when im comming to a stop

 

yup! Its the little problems that **** me off!

 

Sounds like a vacuum leak mine did the same thing. A lot of the vacuum lines were cracked

 

well today im going to try changing my fuel pump out becase mine cuts out after half a tank. and then i gutted my car today a couple days ago i can hear something in the back when i hit my brakes

 

yeah, its probably a vacuum leak. my car does the same ****, makes my car sound like it has asthma haha

 

bump. MIne does this after heavy driving. For some reason tapping the brakes a couple of times raises the rpms. Need clarification on this as well.

never got the problem fixed.

 

Dirty injectors? Try a bottle of fuel injector cleaner....that **** that they push at the parts stores. My parents car was doing the same ****......
