Default benefit to larger bore?

what would be the benefit of changing to a 76mm piston as opposed to a 75? I want low compression for turbo but my cylinder wall is pitted so I must bore n re-hone. also gotta get new pistons....

You can run 75.5 bore if that gets rid of your pits and you can run vitara/eagle setup. perfect for boosting a D series.

The only real benefit of a larger bore only comes in crazy all motor race applications. If you run huge valves you may run into a "shrouding" problem where the bore clearance is too small for air to flow nicely around the valve. A larger bore helps in this application because air can flow from the port to the chamber better.

You'll see a small increase in compression ratio too assuming everything else is the same except bore size. Its nothing really to be concerned with, the change isn't very much.

I appreciate it , how much should I expect to pay for boring/honing ? Ive only done honing before and that was 25$
