How to do cluster wiring from 88 HF cluster to 91 SI
I converted my 88 HF blue interior to 91 SI. It look soo much better.
I need help to do the cluster wirings, cuz the cluster is not working now (i have no knowledege about electrical at all). When engine on (its a stock HF engine), check engine light on, but all the gauges (RPM, spedometer, temprature, etx) are not functions.
When i turn the head lights on, the temprature gauge will go all the way up, and bunch of cluster lights just on). Good thing headlights / signal lights / break lights are working.
The clusters harness plugs are identical 88 HF and 91 SI, so what i did just plugs all the harnesses to the 91 SI cluster without converting the wires.
Pls help, i need if someone can lead me to a thread on how to do the wiring, or if someone willing to do it for me (just let me know how much you charge). Im in Socal, fontana area 92336.
Thanks in Advance.

sounds to me like you have a faulty cluster. I used to own an hf car, and hooked up an si cluster, and everything worked fine. Check fuses, possible look on the backside of the cluster to see if any thing is possibly burnt. If worst comes to worst, just change out the hf rpm gauge with the si gauge and it will look like you changed clusters, but you really didnt. hope i was of some help dude
