I Have a 1995 Civic CX Hatchback

Recently i took out the old motor the d15b8 which was a P.O.S 70hp motor with blown compression and i replaced it with a used d15b7.

well heres the deal:

i dropped the motor in and it started right away, the motor is strong has lots of power, it DOESNT OVERHEAT, but it blows white smoke. espicially when i accelerate. now the guy i bought it from told me its gonna burn a little white smoke when u first fire it up because its been sitting for a while and that the smoke will eventually go away. but it has been a week and the smoke stilll coming, when i idle and when i give it gas.


i had a friend tell me its the valve seals or the rings, how do i determine what it is and how do i fix it myself and what the cost is. and is there a way to temporarily stop it from smoking with a chemical or a additive please let me know...
