**cluster / gas pump doesnt turn on ***
hey i did a wire tuck shave bay on my rhd eg hatch (real eg6) and the cluster lights up but no chech engine or enything like that ...also the gas pump doesnt prime and everything seems to be grounded and pluged properly ... i only have one ground on the water pump (motor side) ...eny ideas would be helpfull
simple your grounding out somewhere especially if it was working prior to the wire tuck then after you get nothing then when tucking you grounded out somewhere retrace your wires and steps and you will find it

the only ground i have on the hole motor is on the thermostat housing and the block seems to be really well grounded (checked with a test light several places) and didnt check with a multi meter ....what type of volts should i get and why would it matter (not good in electonics lol)
ok il try that if enybody has eny other ideas feel free to say them !!
and i have what thermostat + tranny + motor head to ground ...

Regarding the cluster, also check fuse 15 under the dash.

hey i just noticed the ground wire on the thermostat ...culd it be that i have it inside the cabin ??? because of my wire tuck
i remember grounding a ground similar to that inside the cabin but not on the motor the one i have on the motor is just a wire that i made out of 6 gauge plus conectors /?
I had the exact problem on my car to the T tor everything apart dash engine harness and did cotinuity test it sucked. It turns out it was a loose ignition wire that went to the Key. Check those real well there should be atleast 2 big plugs with pretty heavy gauge wiring going to them. GL let me know if you need more help.
i tried my main relai in a another car it works
in mine it just buses
i by passed it and my gas pump came on ....
eny ideas !

there is one they is on the driver side door sill (where the front seat bolts to the floor) on LHD veichles so i assume it would be the same on a RHD (drivers side on the right though) that is your fuel pump ground.
OP: The main relay gets ground from the ECU, which gets ground on the thermostat housing. Therefore, swap in a known ECU and also check the three ECU ground wires that run to the thermostat housing.
Again, do you lack spark.
havent checked spark but the ground on the thermostat is it a ground to the frame or to the wires of the car (car wire harness)
