Default Hey guys

I don't see a new member's section, so I guess I'll just introduce myself and my car here in this thread. My name's Corey, and I recently joined the Honda world after owning a total of seven 240sx's over the years. Reason I decided to change it up was because I was tired of the S-Chassis. I know them like the back of my hand. I need a break from them lol. So I traded my S14 (it had seen much better days, body and carpet wise) for this 94 (CD6?) Accord. H22A swapped, 5 speed, and a blast to drive. It has it's problems though, like a broken inside door handle, slow front windows, etc... Mostly age related stuff. So yeah, you'll be seeing a lot more of me here, and hopefully I learn a lot about what I've got.

The Accord:

JDM H22A

Oh, and with the tuned ECU (I was told it was tuned with Uberdata?), VTEC is hilarious. It brings a smile to my face.

Also, is that a factory side-skirt on the passenger's side? I (obviously) need to get one to go back on the driver's side.

Will do. The damn thing scared the **** out of me the first time I took it out. I didn't expect it to have that much power. Then again, I'm used to driving my beat up truck motor powered 240. The first thing I gotta tackle is my brake system, and the light system. Someone installed an HID kit, and the whole lighting system is ****ed. On lowbeam, only one light comes on, and on highbeam they both work, but the highbeam bulbs aren't hooked up (cause the HID's only work together on high. WTF). The brake pedal is a little soft, and one of the rear calipers is seized, so that's a big issue to me. I don't like brake problems AT ALL.

A $5 can of silicone spray for lubing the run channels will fix the slow power windows and inside door handles are $32 each new from the dealership. Lubing all of the caliper slide pins and replacing the seized rear caliper should firm up the pedal feel.

Nice clean looking CD5 ya got there. Is the inside as clean as the outside?

That is a factory side skirt on the passenger side. Probably pick up the DS from a pick and pull for a few bucks.

Is that an H22 with a blue valve cover or is it an F20B out of an SiR?

The block is stamped H22A. I have no idea why the valve cover is blue. Only thing I can come up with is someone either 1) swapped the valve cover from another H series (or possibly F20B) or 2) the valve cover has been repainted.

That's cool. I saw the blue F20B valve cover and thought you may have had an SiR swap. H22 is OK I guess...

lol. It works for me. Is there any way I can tell if just the valve cover was changed, like the head casting number or something?

I think the F20B and H22 use the same head. I'm not 100% on that. But the H22A casting should be P13
