my car blows cold ac when its cold outside but when its hot it only blows warm ever since i put headers on my car the problems been worst ... i check the charge level and everything seems fine... what can be the reason for this not blowing cold all the time... what can i do to fix this problem..... also when the ac switch is on one or two it doesnt blow only when its on 3 or 4 can someone please help me with this problem

 

Did you check the system pressures with a manifold gauge? What were the high and low side readings? Is the system still running R12 or has it been retrofitted to R134a refrigerant?

There can be a number of reasons. Check the heater control valve and cables to make sure they aren't stuck. Occasionally the valve will stick open, causing hot coolant to run through the heater core.

This is a separate problem; the circuit for speed 2 in the heater blower resistor is bad. Replace the resistor - which is held to the outside of the blower motor case with two screws and has an electrical plug connected to it - and you'll have your lower speeds back again.

 

yeah it has r134a and i am kinda lost on the high and low side gauge readings and the heater control valve ... please explain a lil more detailed thanks.!!
