Default Rollcentre adjusters on civic EG?

What is this part? How it affects car handling and geometry? How it works? Is is necessary to install rollcentre adjusters if the car is lowered?
Thanks!

a lower balljoint extension
affects the geometry to improve the handling
it moves the roll center up (alot of times the roll center becomes way low(sub terrain)
no because upper and lower control arm honda's generally don't 'handle like chit' when they are way slammed unless you plan to drag the rockers at all times.
