NO! Run the 5W-30 all year. I have pulled out 4 D15B7s from a friends 94 Civic. All were running great and using no oil when I put them in..only to be going through a oil pretty rapidly after 4-6months because he was a dumbass and was set on using 20W-50..hes an old V8 head and said he used to run the 20W-50 in his V8s with no problems. 2 of the engines i pulled back out for him after he ran 20W-50 for 6 months had stuck piston rings.

I don't know what year your car is. Look at Honda's recommendation. Alot they recommend 5W-30, Some 5W-20 and I think theres some running on 0W-20, Run what HONDA recommends for your engine.

Run 5-w30 at any temperature or 10-w30 from 20* F and up, that's what my Haynes manual states. Hondas have closer machining tolerances and the thicker oils can't get into the small openings. The thinner oils lubricate sufficiently, and you'll get better fuel economy. If you're concerned about lubrication, run an OEM or other good quality filter and a good synthetic oil.
