Speedo not working after windshield change
Hey guys,
The instrument gauge cluster stopped working right after I had the front windshield replaced. The only thing that is functioning right now is the fuel, tach and temp guage. I've already tried swapping out the instrument cluster with another one but that didn't solve the problem. I'm also experiencing a constant blinking D4 light. This all occurred right after the front windshield was replaced. Could it be a speed sensor problem? or maybe a wire was loose when the guy put the windshield back together? Can somebody tell me where to look for the fuse and the location of the speed sensor? Thanks

I believe this is a terrible coinscidence, i doubt that it was caused by the person who changed your windshield.
Anyway, your vehicle speed sensor is located on your transmission, and your D4 light blinking is warning that something is wrong with the transmission or a part in it. In this case, VSS sensor isn't working... that's very common. You can find these sensors for around 30 to 40 bucks, takes about 30 minutes to change. Unplug the connector, remove the screws, take out the old sensor, throw in the new one, make sure to reconnect it and that's it.

I took gianinline's advice and replaced the vss. However, this was the last option after pulling fuses and swapping gauge cluster with no results. I overpaid on the sensor from pep boys at $90 but the junk yard was closed for the holiday.
