car over heating!!!

Default car over heating!!!

i got a 1990 civic ef hatch single cam turbo and my car keeps over heating does any one have na idea why??? i thought it could be my water pump but idk sum 1 help me out

check your oil and see if it looks like a chocolate shake...it could be your headgasket or check your thermostat,radiator and your fans...!!!

i changed all the fluids and the oil looks fine , but i can smells the raditor fluid inside of the car u think its the heater core??

If the heater core is leaking you will smell it coming out of the vents if you have the heat on with the air blowing.

Stock radiator and fan setup? If not, check to make sure your fan is blowing in the correct direction. Also when the car is up to temp, check to see if the upper and lower radiator hoses are equally hot. If one is cooler than the other there might be an issue with the water pump.

had the same problem. i say flush the radiator. before the thermostat and all that. i made the mistake of doing all the spendy/time consuming stuff and all it needed was a flush. hope it works.

use a pressure guage to check if there's a leak(radiator, hose, heater core, headgasket.....), if you turbo the car most likely stock radiator not going to work, upgrade the radiator, plus take out the thermostat for better cooling.
