i recently put new axles into my car, and to seat them, i use a breaker bar, and put one end on the inner joint, and hammer it into place with a rubber mallet. I goddamn tore the boot doing that. So i was curious how you guys seat the axle, without tearing boots. thanks.

 

damn, they'll let anyone use a prybar. they should just pop in, no need for the excessive force.

 

Clean the inner shaft and put some coppergrease on the axles.. slides right in
