Default welllll......

So my motor is in my bathroom sitting on the stand , lol and if you wonder why its in my bathroom tis because I had it outside with a trashbag on it and it got wet and I got surface rust in the cylinder wall now anyways I am notching my girdle right now for the eagle rods. When I pulled the motor I pulled the motor out of the tranny and left the tranny in the car , so I had to basically wiggle the damn thing out of the input shaft. next time i will be putting it back in with the tranny attached , that seems much more logical , but in my downtime I'de like to tinker with this tranny and rebuild it. even though its not broken but does have 243k on it (had one rebuild from a very unreliable comapny) and its and Si tranny , Ide like to see what aftermarket is out there for it , Where can I get upgrades for like 300 -400 hp? I want a reliable company. also anyone know of any DIY's anywhere on this? links would be great thanks.

Your tranny will hold 3-400 in it's stock form. There are a good amount of people that are running that on a SI trans. If you run stock lifetime axles with it, the axles will break before you trans and the axles are free to replace.

If you want to build the trans with carbon synchros etc etc You may want to PM Mista Bone he is in the transmission section of honda-tech, hes the go to D series trans expert.

where can I get a reliable rebuild kit? know of any DIY's? or sites that might help? Ide just like to get carbon synchros and shorter gearing down low and and long gears up high(theoretically that would be great for boost/drag racing right? )
