AC leaks on pass. side carpet..97 Accord
Sometimes I have liquid dripping onto my carpet to the floor of the passenger side front..(under the dash board) Is this common? I read a couple other posts that tap danced around he issue but found no direct answer for the cause.. and help?
Well from previous post i heard, the A/C drain tube is clogged. So all those moisture from the evaporator is filling up the housing, so it just starts draining out into the inside of the car.
To fix this, there is a drain tube underneath the car. On my 96 Accord, the color of the tube is kinda yellow with a black cap end. You might need to peel off the cap thingy. And use like a piece of wire or something with a brush so that you can unclog whatever is clogging your system.
Hope this helps!

you may just notice this when you go to clean it, but that drain tube isn't clamped at all to the evaporator box. it just fits up over a nipple. i usually check it from inside the car, just follow the bottom of the box with your hand towards the firewall. you'll feel it taper down to the drain... flashlight helps here too.
