Ignition cuts out at high temp
My son's 1990 Civic quit on him yesterday in near 100 degree weather in AZ. It was getting fuel, but no spark whatsoever. After cooling off overnight, it started right up.
I checked the error code and it was 15, Ignition Output. Can anyone suggest where I should start looking for the problem. I am not well versed on post 1970 computer and emission control systems (took auto shop in 1967). I'm assuming that there is a sensor or something that is shutting down the ignition when the temp gets high.

Most likely the ignitor which is found in the distributor the black and yellow connector. Honda ignitors are know to fail with old age and heat you can try buying a knew one and installing it or can buy a new distributor.
