My car was stolen- and part of the missing body were bumper and fenders. i like to know should i put the bumper and fenders on and bring the car in, or bring in just the parts and have them painted it?

By best, do you mean cheapest? I'm kind of confused as to what you're asking, but if you mean cheapest, you should just get a quote for both options and decide from there. I'm guessing your asking if you should buy the bumper and fender yourself, or just let the body shop purchase the parts...so if that isn't correct, maybe you can be a little more clear. You can probably pick up used parts for less then what the shop would charge for new, but you have to consider labor to prep them also.

Sorry to hear about the theft...hope you can get it back together like before it all happened!

im assuming you have bought replacement parts and are asking should u paint the parts with them already installed on the car... or should u just get them painted while off the car.

personally i think you should put them on the car.. and have them blended into the rest of your car so everything looks like it matches... if u spray the parts off the car, u risk it not matching the car.

but u'll probably get charged more to have them blended into the car.

sorry for not making myself clear. i still haven't hear anything from my insurance yet. both of you guys have good point. i will have to go get a quote for both-on and off the car.

and putting them on and getting it painted at the same time might be a better match up? i definately will look for my own parts and install them myself.

thanks for the input guys.
