Is the material similar to the ITR alcantara material?

 

The center sections are factory type material. the sides are different, alcantara material would be nice but it's softer. I guess at a distance it might pass for alcantara but it's closer to 88-89 DX CRX seat material. There is also no vinyl on the back or sides. They also seem to fit better then the factory ones, the fabric is very tite against the foam mind you their new not 20 years old.
If your afraid to buy these covers on quality you wont have to worry about that. I would have to say they are just a great looking cover which won't cost you an arm and a leg.

How was the foam on your seats? Did you do any foam repair prior to installing the covers or just rip the old ones off and put these back on?

wow that looks really not bad at all. now i've never attempted to do seat fabric/material swapping before however i wonder how difficult something like this actually is.. i cant seem to find any like this on eBizzle for the civic si though

It wasn't to hard. The covers came with no instructions but I figured how they came apart so putting them back together was a breeze. easy just took some time. don't rush just take your time and they will will look great.
My foam was is good shape. Actually my factory covers were also in great shape just wanted to freshen the inside of my car.

Not what I expected from the title. Looks good. I've done a ton of seat covers leather and cloth working at a Honda dealer. Leather ones are a pain in the ***.

 

I'm not a big fan of leather either.

did you have to strip off your old material cloth on the seat or did you just cover it up?

 

Yes I had to fully disassemble the seats. I used two long nose pliers.

 

dang i had seen these before on there they look awsome wishe they made some for the si you think if we civic si owners bought some we could retrofit some on the si seats? and undo the stictching from the back of the crx logo to remove get my drift i have been thinking of getting them for my car and frankentsteining them but i dont want to take the risk of buying 200 hundred dollor covers and than f-ing them up

 

No the crx and civic seats are to different. you might be able to do a pan swap but I don't know how this would work or turn out in the end.
these covers only fit 88-91 crx si seats.
