Default anybody using AMSOIL for autox/HPDE?

A good friend of mine just became a dealer around here and I was wondering if anyone is using the 5w30, and the AMSOIL MTF for autox/track/circuit/HPDE? if so, how do you like it?

i remember a few R's using AMSOIL and they were at 5k miles+ and said the oil still looks good..

what's your take, guys?

discuss.

i have read alot of mixed opinions, and i have no experience with it so take this for what it's worth. But it seems like you would be fine using conventional oil and the AMSOIL isn't worth it just for HPDE.

i haven't tried it yet because up until lately gtx has done right by me. but i saw somethings i didn't like when i took this new engine out for its first race so i have switched over to valvoline vr1 20-50. seems to be handling the heat better (20* less oil temps) and nothing funny going on when i take a look at it.

I used to run it in my bike for track use.. never any issues with it.
For the car i only trust Mobil 1

funny because i used valvoline sae 30, i don't mind the 5-10 minute warmups before i go on a drive.. but i have a gut feeling the added zinc is doing my motor good..

what's your take with the 20w50, when our motors recommend 5w30?

i currently use it and love it. don't burn a single drop of oil. i am using the 5w30. i am also using their syncromesh MTF and have no problems with that either.

I used it for a couple years in my 00 Civic Si for autocross duties. No complaints.
