Default Light Smoke at High Rpms?

Just curious if anyone has ever experienced this.. I did a compression test and it seems to be fine. But i kno a pistons has different rings for compression and oil if i'm not mistaken. Also i changed the pistons and rings maybe about 10,000 km ago, but i have never changed the valve seals, and the car is over 100,000 km. Engine is a b18c5. Would it be safe to assume that it is the valve seals? I'm thinkin about doing a complete overhaul nonetheless, just in search of some input. And does this smoke lead to a decrease in performance eventually? or very minimal? cause the car still seems to feel pretty strong.

Thanks

your next step should be a leakdown test to detect any other problems

b-series motors just burn oil. theres no way of gettin around that. in my experience, its normal to have a bit of smoke at high rpm's. could be just unused fuel. is it consuming oil? if so, how much?

It would consume maybe a 1/2 quart of oil over a period of six to eight weeks. Being my DD.

ok, so about 560 miles takes about a half a quart. every oil change (3000 miles), you are looking at around 2 and a half quarts of oil that you are going through. i would say that your motor is burning quite a bit of oil. this "light" smoke is more than just light smoke, it seems like.

your valve stems are either completely shot, or your rings are. that motor shouldnt be burning that much oil.

that sounds like a healthy motor, but its still burning oil. there should be more power to be had. you have to remember and go back to your first post....the motor can still be healthy and burn lots of oil. its the compression rings that give you the power, not the oil control rings. could be rings, or it could be the valve stems. i have just never heard of valve stems causing that much oil to be burned by themselves.
