Default ITB's....How much power?

Hey guys, I have a JDM 96spec ITR motor. Stock internals. I have a jdm 4-1 header, Mugen 2 layer headgasket, .010 mill. Camgears, 12lb ACT flywheel about 12.0 Compression.

I'm planning on purchasing a ITB TWN Setup. Just wondering what kind of power i could possible make with some Jun 3's, or Skunk2 Pro 2 camshafts and really good tune?

I'm shooting for 210-220hp

If you have any personal setup with ITB's please post up your setup.

Thanks.

Spoon84,

No one over the internet is going to be able to tell you how much power you will make from a parts list. In this case, no one knows the health of your motor, your tuner, and how well it will respond to a tune.

I will give you a little advice. For the price of a set of ITBs, you could get a quality header (SMS, DTR, Hytech) and intake manifold (performerX or ported ITR manifold). I would also get 3" SS exhaust.

Itbs are great on a built motor if u got the money will def help in the long run wit a good tuner and wont up the power so much but make it very fun on the instant power on the throttle

i put my money on you making zero more power. itb's are not a power adder.

itb's are for manipulating the power band and increasing throttle response.

judging by your post/question, you havent done anywhere near enough research to be prepared to run them anyway.

Not .... um .... safe?

HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAA

OP: with some tuning that should put you around 200, but bench racing is just not my thing.

Lol, good stuff. I remember reading a thread where one was warned not to use ITBs with his setup due to the fact it would make his already high compression ratio skyrocket.

my saying still goes.

when it comes to itb's if you have to ask, you arent ready to try and run them.

you gotta find a tuner that knows how to tune itb's. but i think your set up is to stock to run itbs. if u ever do run itbs, for your ems i recommend u to run a hondata s300.

there are a lot of overused buzzwords flying around in this thread. the kind people use when they arent truly sure of the meaning.
