Default N00b needs info on RSX-S

Hello all this is my first post and I am currently looking at getting a fun daily driver due to my Corvette will not be able to be driven daily in a few weeks ~ninja~ haha. Anyway my knowledge with Honda/Acura is very limited. Is there anything that I need to know/look for when trying to buy a RSX-S? I am currently looking at a 2002 RSX that is very lightly modded. It has wheels, intake, springs, and aftermarket transmission mount. The car has 120,000 miles and I'm not sure what all needs to be brought up to date with the car having that many miles (like with e30/e36 bimmers you should have replaced the the bushings in the car by that time)? Thanks for all the help and once I can post in the General Discussion section I will have a thread with my previous rides

Hope to get some good feedback from you Honda gearheads!

I know there are probably threads like this, however it doesn't make sense that you can post in here, but can not help out with the quickness.

Also just curious what mods do you have to make that type of power on your RSX? I'm looking forward to having a N/A car again!

Well thank you for the freebie, minus the fact that the link comes up saying "no matches were found".

I'm still new to the RSX game, I'm a civic kinda guy. Based on my general maintenance up to this point I've noticed a few things to keep an eye on. Most Honda's have engine mount wear problems, so just look for cracks or things of that nature. If you rock the motor and it moves, just get some new mounts in there, easy fix. I noticed that the tie rods take alot of abuse on these cars so give those as well as the ball joints a good once over. The reccomended valve lash adjustment mileage is like 100,000mi, but I really don't buy that. If your motor sounds like a type writer then get a valve adjustment. I would reccommend replacing brake pads and rotors just as a precaution. New pads and rotors always feel good.

As you can see I'm just listing some general issuse that really would pop up on any car. RSX's are very well built cars but they do have their draw backs. Dropping these cars beyond the point of drops springs causes "issues". But if you wanna look good you gotta pay for it haha. The motors will last forever if you just maintain the thing. Its still a honda. There is no mileage marker for certian things to **** up, just play it safe and replace things that are going bad.

Good luck on your project....welcome to Honda-Tech
