Default jdm sir-g

ok guys ive been having trouble buying a good motor at a decent price but i finally found an obd2 jdm sir-g motor with low miles for a 1000 for the complete long block

i know there are a million threads about swaps but i had trouble finding info about this particular swap into my 99 SI. i know its a b series but i guess my main question is

1) will i have to swap my dizzy for a usdm one?

2) once i do that, will there be any surprises and/or check engine codes thrown?

if you or anyone you know has a b16 a2 long block for sale let me know so i dont have to worry about doing this swap!!!

any info will be much appreciated!

No, there is no difference between a USDM and JDM distributor, none. What is different is that USDM OBD2 engines have a CKF sensor attached to the oil pump, you will need to do one of 3 things to avoid a CEL:
1)Swap on a USDM OBD2 GS-R oil pump
2)Use a JDM ECU
3)Perform the CKF fix shown here ---> http://technet.ff-squad.com/ckftrick.htm

No, as long as you deal with the CKF sensor issue in one of the three ways outlined above you wont have any problems. The only other thing you will want to do is either wire in the IABs (secondary butterflies) or use an aftermarket intake manfold.
