Well it sure is Ok. its not the money i just want someting thats not too expensive and good Hp. i dont wnt to spend like 10k or sometin lolz juss normal you know wut i mean. like ppl do that h22 with a twin turbo right how much tht costs?
Well welcome to the forum, but next time make sure you search function before posting. Some members do not appreciate it when people don't, i don't really care, but just letting you know.
Ok, 95 dx. Well it has a F22B2, non-vtec engine in it. Well the F22 has iron sleeves in it, which is great for boost. You can put a good amount of stock boost on that engine with no modification besides putting the turbo in and tuning it. I have seen people 15 lbs with no problem whatsoever. All down to tuning.
Ok you can also put the H22 in it. You will want it from the 92-96 Prelude, as that is OBD-1 and so is your car. You will want the VTEC version of it and there is a lot of sites around the country that have JDM engines that can supply you with an entire swap kit (engine, trans, ecu, wiring harness, ect.)
There are more swaps, like the F22 block and H22 head, which is very cheap to do, and pretty good results from HP to cost ratio.
Also if this car is automatic, you will want to look into swapping out the auto for the manual, which is a very straight and simple swap to do. Many people on here and the other honda sites that have done it and could help you out if needed.
Now as for your HP goal. 300 is not reached with a simple swap. Understand that. You must also consider if you want to go all engine, or turbo. An all engine 300 hp will be hard to reach with simple bolt ons. Obviously high compression pistons, high lift cams, valves, springs, header, exhaust, intake, intake manifold. Stuff like that. Now for turbo, you just need to build the engine up enough to hold the boost that will get you to that HP range. Many many many guys on here have done this and could help you. Hopefully this will help you out man. Good luck!

THANKS,.

Is this your first attempt at hybriding?
And a fully built head for an h22, depends on your machine shop and who does the work, but for a fully built head for an h22 your looking at over 3000+ if you want port and polish, port matching, head deck, valves, 3 angle valve job, springs and retainers, cams, cam gears, and then you get into having to tune the thing.
N/A horsepower is twice as expensive for a lot less power than turbocharging, so if your looking to make decent numbers, do some research and find yourself a turbo kit.

Yes it is but i just need ideas becasue i got two great mechanincs with me. so yea pretty much it plaes hit me up with ideas. THANKS. i like he h22 on f22 like i said i dont know how much it will cost THanks.
Well they were selling H22 heads fully built, just without cams a while ago for like $1,500. So yeah that figure of $3000 is not really that off, it is right. When you talk about headwork, you have a lot of money there because you need everything to work together as a single cooperative unit, but if you get cheap on one component, like springs for example, then you just wasted a hell of a lot of money. Jut decide what the budget is for yourself, and decide if you want just a mild head setup, a built one, or a fully built one. No for a fully built one, you are going to be talking about some insane lopey idle, and most like VTEC killers, so gas mileage will be big downside at that point. But a mild head build, you could put a mild cam in and maybe springs and cam gears and call it a day. Bisimoto, and Skunk2 have some good ones, of course there are others out there. Now if you want boost, you also need to focus on that bottom end. Resleeve the block, and some good *** connecting rods for sure.
Rotating assembly much????
Good luck

My H22A alone was $1800 shipped.
With the maintenance items and conversion parts that was easily over another $1000.
Labor to swap it in, another $700 or so
I had over $16k invested in the car before it was sold for less than half of that (after just over 2 years of ownership). No turbo kit, no supercharger, etc. Unless you are doing all the work yourself and are getting steals of deals for every item it will be over $10k. I guarantee it.
I was being incredibly sarcastic.
