Default Questions about stock head unit for 98 TEG

My first question is, is there any way to switch to the tape directly while it's in, without ejecting it and putting it back in?

Second question, is there a way to wire a sub and amp to my stock head unit?

Thanks

not sure about the tape part, but you can run your stock deck with sub if you splice into your speakers from your amp. on some amps theres a high and low connecter. for example in my case i spliced into my rear speakers and then the amp ran off the frequency of the speakers to the head unit. basicly eliminating the need for a remote wire or rca cables.

I have a sub with the OEM headunit.

50x4 RMS amp, running as a tri-mode amp.
Front channels from headunit -> line output converter -> amp - > front speakers
Rear channels -> LOC -> amp in bridged mode -> sub
Rear channels are also run to rear speakers in parallel with LOC

Your OEM headunit has a tape player? Mine's a 2000 and is only a CD player.

I use to work at Circuit City in car audio and when you even use the HI/LO converter you don't get the same quality as you would if you got a deck with outputs.

I know I hate putting decks in my cars because they attract thief's but its the only way to get quality sound with great features and a cassette adapter to your I-pod kill quality in bass especially when its a mp3 track
