What is your take on racing other Preludes?
Ok I'm bored right now so I figured that I would start a debate heheh. Personally when I see another prelude drive up next to me, I look and I smile, but I have no motivation to race one whatsoever. Maybe that's because I respect all Prelude drivers, whether it be a 3G, 4G, 5G, etc... Like earlier this summer I was driving home from class when I saw a Black Type SH. Traffic was really slow at that time, and it seemed like we were the only two cars that were going at a decent speed. We weaved through traffic, one after the other, in what seemed like perfect harmony. So imagine this...two 5G Type SH's...one black, one white, weaving a pattern through traffic. It's beautiful isn't it? After about 15 minutes, I had to turn left into my street. The guy in the black Prelude gave me and thumbs up and I gave him a thumbs up in return.

I either want to track down and talk to other 3rd geners, or race them. Usually I have better luck with the first one. Most of the time I try to catch up to someone at a light they're like WTF? and ignore me. Just to clarify, I DON'T go any faster then the speed limit in a situation like that, or do anything like that in heavy traffic. IF I even do it's once every few months.....
I've never had the chance....the only Prelude I've ever lined up with is the same bluish-silver one with euros and 5% tint. I caught the driver with the windows down once and I'd say she is the most gorgeous blonde I've ever seen in a Prelude, driving or riding shotgun, lol. She never races her baby though...my loss.
It seems like most of the prelude owners here in Pittsburgh either have autos or can't drive for ****. I actually try to get people to head out to the local autox events. But most of the time...I just see preludes with HUGE *** wings...and I think they are more concerned in flying their prelude than driving. I raced a friend of mine with a SS 97 prelude for fun because he wanted to know what the difference was between and auto and 5sp and we ran it without traffic through 1 street light and basically...umm...he had no chance. That was it...I'm only interested in meeting prelude owners that did not already smack on some altezzas and aluminum wing...

Heheh we weren't exactly driving aggressively. I say... driving 55 mph in a 50 mph zone. But believe me...the cars that day...omg they were going in the 30's.
But yeah, the traffic wasn't that dense so it wasn't bad at all.

Yeah automatic preludes are really slow. And big wings =
and altezzas =
also. I'd love to go to an event where I can meet lots of nice prelude owners though. That would be tight.

Great fun! When I was in Atlanta, several of us 5th gen'ers had a great friendly rivalry going... Always neat to have about 5-6 5th gens in a row show up at the Atlanta Dragway.

Yeah seriously. I want a group of friends who drive preludes, and we'd all drive our cars when we go out. That'd be tight. Then when we go to the track, we can race against each other, compare times and such. Good stuff man.
it's a lot of fun to race other preludes....especially when you race 5th gens...and you just every so smoothly begin to pull on them
You guys should try racing some of the faster BMWs sometime.

I haven't race against other Bimmers...but I"ve followed alot of them when we hit the mtn runs. While on the turns, the cars are fairly even...but when a straight away comes...look out cuz they just hand you a new one!!
I'm waiting for my chance to run a lude, but I really want to GSRs and Celica GTSs. The average lude owner is not a spoiled rich kid like many GSR and GTS owners, which is who I want to show my taillights to.
lol.....why yes sir.....i do.....but have no problems with a stick.....just better watch out and quit knockin thee tranny....you just never know......

I'll show u! Hahaha...when I'm done with my car that is.
