Default how to tell if vtec head is d15b or d16z6 ??

Does any1 know how to tell the difference between the d16z6 and d15B head?
I know they both have the same casting number.. but is there anything else?

and if so will d16z6 valve springs and retainers work in a jdm d15b head??

if i'm not mistaking it's pretty much the same head... someone correct me if i'm wrong.. I know that the SOHC ZC Vtec head's and D15b heads are the same and the ZC Vtec is the same as a z6.... so the valve springs and all should work down in the d15b...
