so ive been harassed lately about my car being too loud from the cops, B18a1, spoon cat delete with a no name fartcan. i was just wondering who has gone back to their stock exhaust tip? or who had just cut it off all together and welded a tip back on. just want to know what the sound difference is and how you felt about the change.

 

Most of my friends run a 2.25' piping starting from the cat and a stock axle back at the end. Its really quiet when idling but when you smash on it, it makes the "can" sound.

 

ive had a resonated test pipe with 2.25" piping with stock muffler, no difference in performance and much more quiet. still had a nice tone though, def not rice sounding. this was on a b18c1 eg
