i have a 98 accord with an f23a1 completely stock. just did a full tune up and oil change thinking the tune up would correct my problem judging the condition the wires, rotor, and plugs. so i did it this afternoon and kept the car on for like 2 hours seeing if it would turn off and it didnt until i got on my street and it shut off. what could be the problem??? there is no shaking or any warning that it is going to shut off. i just feel the wheel get tight and i know the car turned off. WTF
hmmm. i was in my driveway yesterday started mine up, and the rpm dropped to like 400.... it died and i couldnt get it started??? full tank to. Wandering it the heat has anything to do with it? mine finally started... when did you change your fuel pump last??
hmm. does it seem like the gas is shut off to you? thats what i thought with my coupe. i have 92k on the odo, and i was pissed when mine died and didnt start.... i checked fuses everything... hour later it started right up.

Really?? how could i make sure thats the problem. i don't wanna go replacing everything if it doesn't have to be changed.
Right, it's not something you want to do lightly. My new distributor was $125. Anyway, what occurred was classic impulse sensor failure: CEL, followed by a very smooth stall. Restarts immediately, runs perfect.
Now, it was on a 1992 model with an impulse sensor. I have heard later models have a different design. Maybe you have a separate crank sensor?
