Default Putting D15B7 in a '89 CRX Si questions.

Anything special that I would need to drop one of these in an '89 CRX Si to replace a blown D16A6?

Could I use the PM6 ECU or would I need a P06? Which distributor/injectors/engine-harness should I use?

Will it bolt up to the stock mounts?

Any other info would be appreciated. I've done several B-series swaps into EG's and EK's, but never a D-series in an EF.

Thanks

you might be able to squeeze more juice by keeping the A6 head and just swapping the block, and you wouldn't have to worry about the wiring. That requires different camshaft pulley (Y8 I think but not sure). D-series will bolt in just fine.

I'd rather just bolt in the B7. The A6 snapped a rod and smacked a piston into the head while the B7 came out of a perfectly running car that got rear-ended.

So I could bolt it in and use the wiring/injectors from the A6? Should I use the B7 distributor with an adapter plug or use the A6 distributor?

i'm not 100% but i'm almost certain that the a6 dizzy will bolt up to it. if the b7 head is exactly the same as b1/b2 as far as casting, then i'm 110% sure it does. as far as the rest of the motor, yes you can use all the stock stuff, although it may run slightly rich

Yes you can keep it OBD0 and run the PM6. The A6 Distributor might not bolt up (meaning all three bolts) but u can still run it with one bolt... You could still use the same injector, engine harness but I think you might need to switch out the motor mounts from your old A6...

Just swap in the complete long block. Use the A6 intake manifold, distr, wiring, etc.. It's a direct swap nothing special.

d15b7 is exact same engine as d15b2, but obd1 from what I've read. So you'd have to move the dizzy, IM etc to it, should be a breeze
