I've got an 08 Si and i've had an Evo2 on the car for about 13k miles now and i'm starting to want something a little louder. How does the Vibrant echaust compare to the Evo2 sound and quality wise? I know the piping is bigger which will increase the noise but how much of a change will it be? I'm also planning to add a Vibrant header with HFC within the next few months so im thinking that pairing it with the Vibrant exhaust would yield better gains, is that true? Lastly, what are your opinions on the Vibrant exhaust? If i do decide to switch to the Vibrant i do know that i'm waiting until they release the flanged version, whenever that may be...

i don't want "loud", i want "louder" than the Evo2...skunk is way too loud for me

 

My Vibrant is pretty loud, but definitely not on a Skunk2 level. I bought it second-hand from a guy who had it on his SC'd Si. He had a second resonator welded into the system because he said it was way too loud with the SC. I love it, and kinda wish I heard it without the resonator. It's civil when it needs to be and definitely comes alive with a ferocity in Vtec. It's a great exhaust, and I love the look and sound of it.

I have the Vibrant header without the cat and the HKS Sports Ti combination. Works great,
not to loud and alot faster.

 

You can add a header and it will make your EVO 2 louder then just and Evo 2. Its what i have and it sounds great. Also you said that the piping is bigger. What size piping is on the evo 2 and what size piping is on the Vibrant. I thought that both of those exhaust were 2.5 in.

 

i have full vibrant no cat and its not that loud imo. its conservative but can rip. ive never heard the evo2 in person but the vibrant isnt as loud as the greddy tic and is deep

 

The evo2 pipe size is 60mm and the Vibrant is 65mm

you dont think the pipe size difference between a Vibrant header and my Evo2 wil make a difference? Won't it bottleneck?

I love the vibrant. It looks somewhat stock looking and sounds incredible. Only loud when you want it to be. A cop won't pull you over for it just based on looks, the evo2 on the other hand might be a diff story

the piping difference may not bottle neck. Also what is the pipe size of the flange on the header on the Vibrant? I have the DCRH and im not sure what the size of that is either but i kno my car made more power and sounds orgasmic!
