Default What throttle cable and what throttle body. 00 Si GSR Swap

Ok I broke my first throttle cable ever having my motor swapped in for like 7-8 months. I never had correctly on because I have a GSR T/B with a Blox Intake Manifold on my B18C1. Right now I need to drive it so Im putting a spare 99 EX throttle cable I have laying around. Question is how do i properly setup the throttle cable? Last one I had to cut it and buy some cringing **** to make it work because the oem cable was too long. Also my throttle body is has very rough butterfly movement so I also want to replace that. Is a LS one the same MM? or would I have to go with a Type R to get the best throttle cable adjustment and mounting.
