my friend has an 83 accord and we just got finished bleeding the brakes. for some reason, when he presses the brake pedal, the car bogs out and eventually dies.

i've never seen this problem before and any help is appreciated. its all stock also.

 

There is probably a leak somewhere in the brake booster diaphragm. The brake booster gets its power from the vacuum in the intake manifold. When you step on the brakes, the leak in the booster lets extra air into the intake manifold, but since that air didn't go thru the carb no more fuel is added, so the extra air leans out the mixture until it stalls the engine.
