YES I WENT TO CHANGE MY SPARCK PLUGS THE OTHER DAY AND THERE WAS OIL IN 3 OUT OF THE 4 TUBES SO I CHANGED THE VALVE COVER GASKET ASWELL AS THE 4 GROMITS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VALVE COVER GASKET AND IM STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD REPLACE IF SO LEMME KNOW THANKS....

The lower cam tower o-rings need to be changed. I have this same problem, I need to do this job. But it's been ok for like 5 years. The problem is that this car is a daily driver, and the job requires taking the cam sorta out of the car.

x2 on the lower spark plug tube seals/o-rings. You will have to remove the rocker arm assembly to replace the lower o-rings. It will come off as one piece and stay together if you are careful with it.



Yellow = Upper spark plug tube gasket
Red = Lower spark plug tube o-ring

I did this a couple of weeks ago on my '92 accord, and I didn't have to take the camshaft out nor did I have to release the timing belt tension -- I simply left the distributor attached, and it held everything in place.

The job took only a couple of hours, and I got the full appreciation of the reason for the leak: those lower o-rings have completely lost their elasticity and each snapped and broke into several pieces when I tried prying them out of their cam holder tower o-ring groves. No wonder they were not sealing anything anymore.

And just like GhostAccord pointed out, make sure not to remove the bolts from the cam towers after unscrewing them. The bolts will keep the rocker arms, the shafts and springs together; lift it out as an assembly, and kep it that way unless you want to be picking everything up from the floor later on.
