snapped my valve cover bolt
Newbie here...
I was re-installing my valve cover and over-torqued the nut and snapped the bolt.
The specs call for a torque of 84 in-lbs, which I set my wrench to 7 ft-lbs (so I thought...its a loaner from a friend).
So, how much of a pain is it to replace this bolt? I'm a newbie at this, but am pretty handy. Is this a part I can pick up at the store or is it a special honda part? I'm not sure if it is all 1 piece (can't see well enough that close, getting old!). HOw do I go about fixing this?

can you get to it without the cover on? if you can, grab it with some vicegrips and try to get it out that way.
and im not sure if you can get it at say an autozone or advanced auto, but im sure they are only a couple bucks at a dealer.

I had the same problem with my '90. use a deep socket on the bottom part, it unscrews from the head. I went to Napa for mine but they sent me to honda for a new one. the bolt was like eight bucks, but the stupid little crome nut was four bucks. lol
Yep you can easily replace it. The only problem I see is that you are not supposed to randomly losen those bolts to avoid warping the rocker shafts; but I guess just one bolt wouldn't matter.
Here's how I get my parts: first I go to an on-line store that sells OEM Honda parts like MajesticHonda, find the parts that I need and print the prices out, then take that list to the local Honda dealer and ask them if they'd match those prices. So far, they always did.
