Im looking for an aftermarket headunit for the R but cant seem to find many of good quality that will allow me to retain the amber lighting. So what is everyone else using? I was looking into some clarion double dins but cant seem to find any installed in an integra. Any other suggestions?

 

Pioneer DEH-P9800BT!, 24bit burr brown DAC's sound amazing and the lighting is an exact match, literally looks factory amber.

 

In 2003, I put a Clarion DXZ835 (single din) in each of my Integras. They have sixteen or eighteen colors that scroll ( or you can lock in one of those colors) and three custom colors that the user can blend. Never had any problems.

 

I use a JDM 98 spec optional Gathers player. Button amber isn't a match, but the screen matches the clock.

 

Alpine made an awesome player with biolite display. You can make custom colors, it matched perfect and had great sound. You can still find them new.

 

I just bought a JVC KD600, it has 30 diffrent colors including 4 amber colors.
It was $130

 

I have an older Alpine unit that the display can be changed from green to amber. I think alot of their head units are set up for that.

 

I have the Pioneer F900 and I can get the color pretty close. You can enter the RGB (red/green/blue?) values for exact color too.

I saw the JVC one at bestbuy and it seemed to have an amber color that would match but i wasntcrazy about the silver plates on the front, it will stick out like a sore thumb in the ITR. I want something totally black or dark color...

 

The JVC kd-r600 I bought has a black face color. And number 14 amber matches is perfect.
