Default Takeda intake review

Ok i recieved the intake yesterday. When i got home from work i installed it. Right off the back it came with a key chain, license frame, stickers(the usual junk) but it also came with a gift card for 20% off my total purchase at Takeda.

The install was easy. Little different then my K&N but similar to the injen where you have to run new lines from the throttle body and you remve that dual metal peice that runs to the cams. the design is very nice and fits in the engine bay good. Sound is awesome. However i did not notice the 17whp gain in power. How weird is that (sarcasm).

All in all its a great intake worth the money i spent on it.

No CEL! o0o yea i had to go to a concert at the Nissan pavilian. On the way there i noticed somthing. usually with my K&N intake at low rpms the car would have like a pause or hesitate when i gassed 100%. With this intake there is no pause or sputter.

I notice that with my Injen sri when it is hot but when it is cool it does not do it. If you could verify that it does not do it even when temps are in the 90s this might be an option for me.

Yea. Well yesterday I started the car and the CEL was on. I was headed somwhere and couldnt get it read. When i got home i pulled the plugs and checked them and then i went to pick up dinner. On the drive home the CEL turned off. Its it comes on again im going to have it read and see what code it threw. Im starting to think that its not my Intake.

hit me up greg I would like to see the intake! most intake claims are with no other mods like the k&n is 13 more hp by itself but when you add more, ie I/H/E the car breaths better so the stock ecu compensate and changes air ratio. with the new flashpro you can calibrat and go from there. so Im sure if you get the FP and can figure it out you might be able to get another 20hp with all the ather stuff you added on. I just read an article in RT or CD one of them. thay made allmost 300hp on a new sedan wrx with a K&N intake cobb down pipe, dynomax eghaust and a cobb tuner. they made more hp with just the intake and lost some hp when adding the exhaust.

So any takers on donating money for me to get a dyno done. Its $60. Ill put up cash to make the difference. Come on people there are a few of you that are very frequent users and sending money via paypal is easy. Im talking like $2 $5 or $10 what every you wanna send. you guys send the money and ill take my video camera and a user on the site to come up and watch the dyno get done.

Ill compare the dyno to my other dyno on the mustang dyno at the same shop about a year ago.
