Hey guys! This is not my usual spot in the forum, but I need to figure out a problem with my mother's Ridgeline RTL. We are a used car dealer and over the past year we have been buying lightly damaged salvage vehicles, fixing them correctly, and flipping them. Despite what many people think, if you do everything correctly, and there was no frame damage, previously salvaged cars are a good buy as we generally sell them for 40% of kbb value. Anyway on to the problem...The Ridgeline was hit in the passenger side front region, and did require a new rad. support, and some tweaking of the inner structure on that side, as well as the new parts you would imagine such as the passenger side fender, hood, front bumper, headlight, etc. During the accident the ecu was also damaged, so we purchased a used one and programmed it through the local Honda dealership. After all of that the vehicle runs, but will not charge correctly, and it has a CEL list 17 codes long. Most of them have to do with the transmission, but 17 codes is a lot in my opinion to honestly need those 17 things, so I think there must be an issue with the wiring such as a ground, or maybe even an issue with the used ecu. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I do have a complete garage at my disposal, and some general honda knowledge, but this one has me stumped. I took it to the nearby Honda dealership when we got it programmed for the new ecu, and they stated, "the computer is not from an RTL and the ridgeline is an RTL, so that is the problem," although they wouldn't garuntee that buying a new one would remedy the problem. Thanks in advance for any help!
