Default How fast are your guys stock si engines

Do any of you guys have times of what you stock si engines ran at the track? (no turbo or nos.) I am trying to figure out about how fast mine is in the 1/4 mile. I fugure your times should be pretty close to mine. You can see what my mods are below this post.

Thanks

Damn... that's quick as hell for the mods... when I ran a 15.3 it was with a 2.085 60'. I really don't think mine had anything left when I ran a 15.3, not with what I had at the time.

I got an 89 Si and been waiting to get on the track to see what it can do...I mean it feels like it pulls hard when I drive it...Hopefully I'll be in the 15's...right now all I have is an ebay CAI and soon to have an exhaust...I'll head up to MIR soon and see what she'll do...Any tips for a first time 1320 run?

For real... i'd have to see it to believe it with that one. I'm not calling BS but you can't say you run something without the slip to back it up, not for sure anyways. You could however say that elevation was slowing you down and that you'd PROBABLY be quicker at sea level. My $.02

91 X, when it was a totally stock B16C( after the head swap ) I ran a 15.6...slightly stripped.

Same X:

IHE
Skunk2 Cams, gears, intake mani...
P&P head, 3 angle valve job...
Custom Ram air(just for kicks, and sound)
Totally stripped!!!

Someone please explain to me how the hell a D16a6 CRX does almost the same times as a B16 CRX? How can this be? We have guys doing 15.5 to 16.0 with bolt ons and some B16's are doing mid 15's also. And a B16 is supposed to have 160 and a D16 only 108? I don't think so.

actually dude, the d16a6 was highly underrated from the factory... People have dynoed basically stock d16a6's at like 125whp and torque to match...that is about 140 crank hp and about 135 crank tq. They have a really fat powerband to the b16's really small powerband... peak hp doesn't always mean faster

I thought you said attitude makes a differance at first. lol I will definatly have to say that some crx's just plain haul *** with a stock engine. I dont knwo why, but I have owned 5 crx's in the last 3 years, and out of the 5 I had one that was just plain out NASTY. I bought this car from a junk yard for 300 dollars. It had minor front end damage (hood headlight fender tire). I slapped a new tire and wheel on it, lowered it, put a (TIN MAN) intake (homemade), and unbolted the muffler. I took it to the track and in the 1/8th mile on street tires with the windows down the car ran 9.61. i put slicks on it and ran 9.27. This again is on motor, with no muffler and homade intake. Thats quick as **** imo. I miss that car. badly. ALthough it was illgeal as hell. ohh well.. im off to day dream about her

Ya my crx's powerband kicks ***. My freinds b16 dosn't even pull as hard when Vtec kicks in! It hits the hardest in 2nd. Its the best feeling all of a sudden you just get thrown to the back of your seat! And the son of a bitch takes off!

your car is stock? Then don't waste your money on 94 octane gasoline.
